π How long do you want to travel?
Maybe you travel occasionally, from a few months up to a few years, or you are a perpetual traveler, we got you covered.
- π World Explorer is for you if you plan on traveling between 1 month and 2 years.
- π World Resident and βοΈ World Resident Premium are for you if you plan on traveling for at least 1 year or perpetually.

Can I extend my travel health insurance?
You can not extend your plan after 2 years. But you can sign up for a new contract.
If you develop a chronic illness, or any other medical issue that requires long-term treatment, please note that the cover ends after a maximum of 2 years. If you want to sign up for a new π World Explorer your chronic or long-term medical issue is now counted as a pre-existing condition that is not covered in the new contract. This is why it is necessary to have access to a national healthcare system you can return to or international health insurance like π World Resident if you need long-term medical care.

- If you have no access to a national health care plan, or you don't want to pay for a national health care plan in your home country because of its regional limitations, π World Resident and βοΈ World Resident Premium are great alternatives with worldwide cover.
- If you travel no longer than 2 years and you have access to a national health care plan or you are still part of a national health care system in your home country, then πWorld Explorer is the right travel health insurance for accidents and emergencies abroad.

Our Genki health insurance plans are made for everyone from every country.
- You can sign up while traveling.
- You can sign up without having a mailing address.
- You can choose your home country. However, the home country needs to be a country where you have either a passport or where you have a permanent residency permit.
How old are you?
- π World Explorer covers people between 0 and 49 years old.
- There are no age limitations for π World Resident and βοΈ World Resident Premium.
π Where do you want to be covered?
- Both World Explorer and World Resident offer worldwide cover, so every single country on earth. Depending on your travel plans, you can choose to limit cover in the USA & Canada to save money.
π§Έ How is your home country covered?
- With both insurances, your chosen home country is covered but with limitations.
- Additionally, with both insurances, you need to have left your home country at least once. You are covered when you return, for example for a family visit.
- With π World Explorer, your home country is covered for up to 42 days within 180 days. Cover in your home country includes accidents and life-threatening emergencies only.
- With π World Resident and βοΈ World Resident Premium, your chosen home country is covered for up to 180 days per calendar year.
π€Ώ What sports do you do?
- If you want to be covered for all types of sports, then choose π World Resident or βοΈ World Resident Premium. Every sport is covered as long as you are not participating as a professional (getting paid for it).
- π Word Explorer covers sports, except diving, outdoor climbing, parachuting, paragliding, base or bungee jumping, sky diving, or racing.
- Scooter and motorcycle accidents are covered with π World Explorer, π World Resident, and βοΈ World Resident Premium.
