Guest article by our trusted partner mapmelon
Coliving has exploded since COVID and digital nomads are getting pickier about where they stay. These spaces offer the best combination of working environment, exploring new places and community. If you’re new to coliving, check out What is coliving? for a quick intro.
As the mapmelon team, we often get asked: “What are your top colivings?” Truthfully, each place has its own vibe, which really depends on what you’re looking for. Still, we’ve curated not one but TWO LISTS of solid options that have delivered great experiences for many nomads and friends.
The first list highlights some of the most well-known spots that have consistently delivered top community experiences and often inspired newer coliving spaces to follow their lead. The second list focuses on fresh, up-and-coming gems. You might not have heard of them yet but they are already becoming popular and building strong communities. So skip to the second part if you want to check out new places to explore in a great community.
It was hard to make these lists since most of Mapmelon’s coliving spaces are curated, and we ensure they are based on community. There are plenty of other coliving spaces that were also a great fit, but we had to cut them off to avoid making this even longer. We have tried to be as objective as possible by making the list from our site’s popularity rankings, feedback from our ambassadors, and our team’s visits.
Keep in mind that experiences can vary depending on the season, hosts, community managers, and the group of colivers you find there. But if you’re heading out in 2025 and want to choose wisely, these are some spots you can hardly go wrong with.
Top Destination Coliving Spaces
This is the list of the colivings you can hardly go wrong with. If you’ve been in the coliving world, you’ve heard about some of these for a while, and for a good reason. If you’re new, I bet you will hear about them after going to your first one. The list is sorted alphabetically, as all of them are equally awesome.
